Strength versus Stress with Rajiv Arapurakal

Join Rajiv for a (2.5hr or) three-hour yoga practice. The session will include a brief discussion on benefits and common physical pitfalls of yoga. Then a a vinyasa series, emphasizing how to distribute force across many muscles when often only few take on the brunt of the stress. We'll close with a meditation and extended savasana to evolve each of our practices toward healthfulness.
There will be a limit of 25, so that we can foster a semi-private environment to address common individual tendencies.
There will be time afterward for individual questions.
Bio: Rajiv Arapurakal, E-RYT 500, has taught with the ISHTA Yoga team since 2004. His pursuit of yoga and communications with his students led him to consider further education in the realm of healthcare and proactive health habits. He is now a third-year student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, to become a medical doctor. He is a third generation yogi, who was born in Kerala, India.
Cancellation Policy: Full pre-payment at the time of enrollment is required to reserve a space in workshops. Refunds or cancellations are available up to two weeks prior to date of workshop. No refunds, no credit given less than two weeks prior to workshop. If ISHTA yoga cancels the workshop, a full credit or refund will be issued. ISHTA yoga reserves the right to amend this policy at its discretion on a case-by-case basis.
