200-Hour Training

ISHTA’s Yoga Alliance certified 200-Hour teacher training program is designed to deepen your understanding of the science of yoga. Whether you plan to make a career out of teaching yoga or are simply looking to enhance your own practice, this program teaches you how to bring yoga into daily life. Areas of study include:

  • Asana and meditation practice
  • In-depth posture labs
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Philosophy and principles of ISHTA Yoga
  • Pranayama and the energetic bodies
  • Meditation
  • Specialty areas, including prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, and Sanskrit

Summer 2016 200-Hour Intensive Training

This unique, immersive program meets full time over approximately one month at our flagship studio in New York City. The format is perfect for those who are in transition, visiting from out of town, or who thrive in a fast-paced learning environment.

Dates/Times: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Week 1: Mon 6/27, Tues 6/28, Weds 6/29, Thurs 6/30, Fri 7/1
  • Week 2: Mon 7/4, Tues 7/5, Weds 7/6, Thurs 7/7, Fri 7/8
  • Week 3: Mon 7/11, Tues 7/12, Weds 7/13, Thurs 7/14, Fri 7/15
  • Week 4: Mon 7/18, Tues 7/19, Weds 7/20, Thurs 7/21, Fri 7/22
  • Week 5: Mon 7/25, Tues 7/26, Weds 7/27, Thurs 7/28, Fri 7/29

Location: ISHTA Yoga Union Square

Early Bird Rate: $3200 (deposit paid by May 16, 2016)
Regular Tuition: $3450
The training cost includes a comprehensive manual, plus unlimited yoga and meditation classes beginning two weeks prior to the training and ending two weeks afterward. As an added bonus, trainees who pay in full up to 30 days before the program start date will be able to begin their unlimited yoga at that time. That’s up to two weeks of additional unlimited yoga classes! A $500 non-transferable, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot in the program.
