The Sanskrit word Ayurveda stems from two roots: ayus which means life or life cycle and vid which means knowledge.  So Ayurveda is the knowledge of daily living and the life cycle - a system of achieving and maintaining health. Ayurveda teaches that health is sustained through the balance of three vital energetic forces known collectively as the Doshas and individually as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The purpose of Ayurveda is to bring these three forces into harmony to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. 

		Abhyanga: $150
		A full body massage using customized strokes and selected warm herbal oils chosen specifically for your body type. This treatment nourishes the skin, aids in removing impurities, stimulates arterial and lymphatic circulation, and relaxes the mind and body. 		Ayuverdic Facial Enhancement: $150
		A special cleansing treatment using herbal steam, various herbs, and fresh fruits. This treatment enhances complexion, nourishes facial muscles, and alleviates blemishes.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Ayuverdic Initial Consultation: $150
		According to Ayurveda, when the Doshas (the three energies that govern all bodily functions) are out of balance, one's immunity level decreases. This imbalance leads to abnormal symptoms in the body or disease. Utilizing the traditional art of pulse analysis and other conventional Ayurvedic methods, a thorough evaluation of your doshic constitution and imbalance is performed (these imbalances are the root cause for any physical or emotional discomfort or disease). Once the type of imbalance is determined, we can bring the body back into balance by following a suitable Ayurvedic dosha specific diet, exercise, and occasional use of herbs and therapies.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Ayurvedic Reflexology: 30 min-$80; 45 min-$100; 60 min-$150
		A unique foot reflexology incorporating the marma (meridian) points of the feet.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Chakra Alignment: $80
		A 30 minute opening and balancing of the Chakra system centers using specific semiprecious gem stones, essential oils, bija mantra chanting, visualization, and affirmations. (Please note, this is an add on treatment, not a stand alone appointment.)			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Kati Basti: $90
		During this treatment, a well of medicated herbs is formed on the client's back. Warm medicated oil is then poured into the well for a stipulated time period. Kati Batsi is known to be very effective in combating upper and lower back pain.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Marma Therapy: 60 min- $150; 90 min $220
		During this session, particular marma (energy) points are reinvigorated with a pressure point massage and essential oils to clear any blocked energy in your system			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Nasya and Karnapooran: $100
		This treatment helps clear the sinuses, relieving facial muscle and jaw tension. It's a very good treatment for TMJ.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Netra Basti: $90
		An eye treatment with herbs. This is effective for tired, dry, puffy, and sensitive eyes, or for those who are combating dark under-eye circles.			or Call: (212) 598-4800

		Panchakarma: $375
		A comprehensive custom tailored series of Ayurvedic treatments designed to detoxify, rejuvenate and restore the natural balance of the Doshas. It includes marma therapy, herbal steam, herbal body wrap or exfoliation, nasal treatment, eye treatment, and shirodhara. The detoxifying treatments are tailored specifically to the condition of the client. Duration of the treatment is generally 2 1/2 to 3 hours per session; the exact time will be determined by your Ayurvedic consultant. 		Shirodhara: $150
